Don’t Skip This Step Before Moving On!

What if gratitude could help you release your current role with peace and create a fabulous new beginning?

If you’re an educator quietly dreaming about what’s next, this message is for you.

Before rushing toward the next position, seeking your next opportunity, or sending out resume upon resume …

Pause.

And thank your current position first.

Thank your classroom.

Thank the students who stretched your patience and expanded your heart.

Thank the colleagues who stood beside you on hard days and the ones who didn’t.

Thank the lessons you learned about leadership, resilience, compassion, adaptability, communication, and strength.

Even the difficult moments shaped you.

Burnout can make us want to emotionally slam the door shut and sprint toward escape.

But gratitude creates completion.

And completion creates space for aligned new beginnings.

This doesn’t mean you ignore unhealthy systems or stay somewhere your soul has outgrown.

It simply means you honor what this chapter gave you before turning the page.

Heartfelt gratitude changes your energy.

And often, what we appreciate fully is what we can finally release peacefully.

(Before I sold my house in North Carolina three months ago, I thanked my house, neighborhood, hiking trails and more. I thanked my kitties for their cooperation with the move beforehand too).

An affirmation for you today:
I am grateful in advance for the things I desire in my life.

Burnout narrows our vision. Gratitude gently opens it again.

Journal Prompt:
I am grateful education helped me develop these qualities and strengths . . .

Love & blessings,
Catherine
